Remember:

Pheasants can hide in the smallest amount of cover, run through the thickest brambles, and then burst from cover to take wing.

A Warm Welcome

TCA Pheasantry at St. George’s Hunting Preserve is located in picturesque Middletown, DE, just south of the C&D Canal. Our location makes us truly unique. We combine the beautiful outdoors with an exciting day of great hunting while offering the convenience of being just minutes from Rt. 1 and I-95 (about one hour from both Philadelphia, PA, and Baltimore, MD.) Nearby lodging and restaurants are available for your enjoyment.

We raise our birds from day old chicks and once they are old enough, they are released into a large flight pens to encourage the birds natural instincts, behavior, and flight development. Our flight pen is planted with natural cover that the bird will encounter out in the wild once it is released. Once your hunt has been scheduled and is approaching, the birds are then stocked in large areas of ideal upland cover for your hunting enjoyment.

The pheasant is one of the world’s most hunted game birds. We stock mostly  Ring-necked  Pheasants, but we also have a small select group of Melanistic Mutant Pheasants.  In 2011 we will also be offering Quail and Chukars for your hunting enjoyment. All of our pheasants are beautifully feathered with lavish and brilliant plumage. They are beautiful birds that display volatile take offs with strong flying ability. The quality of our birds speak for themselves.
As of May 1, 2011, Sunday hunting is now allowed on Preserves in the State of Delaware.
